Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about the platform.
What is ArchHive?
ArchHive is a premium marketplace exclusively for architecture and design students. You can buy thesis inspiration packages, 3D models, CAD drawings, and hire verified tutors for 1-on-1 supervision — all protected by our secure Escrow payment system.
How does the Escrow system work?
When you hire a tutor or site scout, your payment is locked in a secure Escrow wallet. The tutor can see the funds are committed but cannot withdraw them. Only when you approve the deliverables (or a milestone is completed) do the funds release to the tutor's wallet. If there's a dispute, our Admin team mediates.
What is a 'Local Site Scout'?
A Site Scout is a verified student located in a specific city who can physically visit an architectural site on your behalf. They photograph the site, document the surroundings, and deliver a case study or site analysis report — perfect if your thesis site is in another state or country.
What file formats are included in downloads?
Every listing clearly displays the included file formats (e.g., .DWG, .SKP, .RVT, .PDF). You can see these before purchasing on the product detail page.
How do sellers get paid?
Sellers keep 70% of every digital download sale. For Escrow tutor gigs, funds are released to the tutor's in-platform wallet after the student approves delivery. Sellers can withdraw funds to their bank account via Stripe Connect.
How do I become a verified tutor?
Visit the 'Become a Freelancer' page and submit your portfolio, university credentials, and hourly rate. Our admin team reviews each application to ensure high quality standards before approving your profile.
What if I have a dispute with a tutor?
You can open a dispute directly from your Dashboard. This freezes the remaining Escrow funds and alerts our Admin team, who will review chat logs and deliverables to reach a fair resolution.
