Terms of Service
1. Overview
By using ArchHive ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. The Platform provides a digital marketplace for architecture students to buy and sell project files, and a secure Escrow-based freelance hiring system for tutoring and site analysis services.
2. Escrow & Payment Terms
When a student hires a tutor or site scout, funds are held in a secure Escrow wallet managed by the Platform. Funds are released to the service provider only upon the student's approval of delivered work, or upon completion of agreed milestones. The Platform charges a 15% service fee on tutor/freelancer Escrow transactions. In the event of a dispute, the Platform Admin reserves the right to mediate and determine fund allocation.
3. Digital Downloads & Liability
Sellers retain full intellectual property rights to their uploaded work. By listing a project, sellers grant ArchHive a non-exclusive license to display and distribute the files to paying buyers. Buyers receive a personal-use license and may not redistribute purchased files. The Platform takes a 30% commission on all standard digital download sales (reduced to 15% for Premium members). Buyers pay a ₹100 reveal fee to view full project details before purchasing.
Disclaimer of Liability: ArchHive scans direct uploads but does not warrant that files are free of viruses or malware. The Platform is not liable for data loss, corrupted files, or intellectual property disputes arising from user-uploaded content.
4. Tutor Verification
All tutors and site scouts must pass a manual verification process by the Platform Admin before offering services. The Platform reserves the right to reject or revoke verification status at any time.
5. Dispute Resolution
Either party in an Escrow contract may open a dispute. Upon dispute, remaining funds in the Escrow are frozen. The Platform Admin will review all available evidence (chat logs, delivered files, milestone status) and issue a binding resolution within 7 business days.
6. Account Termination
Users may delete their accounts at any time via Settings. Upon deletion, all personal data is permanently removed. Active Escrow contracts must be completed or resolved before account deletion. The Platform reserves the right to terminate accounts that violate these terms.
7. Platform Storage Options & Limits
ArchHive provides two methods for file hosting: External (e.g., MEGA.nz) and Internal (Supabase Direct Upload). Internal hosting is an exclusive feature of the ArchHive Premium subscription.
- Standard Users: Must host raw project files (.zip, .rvt, etc.) externally. ArchHive takes no responsibility for broken external links or files removed by third-party hosts.
- Premium Users: Enjoy direct platform uploads up to a strict limit of 500MB per file.
ArchHive reserves the right to delete internally hosted files if a Premium subscription expires or lapses for more than 30 days without payment.
